In-Person Counselling

Harringay Practice (N4)

I find that in-person counselling works best for the counselling approach I use, being physically present does make a difference. It has the advantage of being very private, especially if you live in a shared house or want to talk about someone you live with.

The disadvantage of in-person counselling is that you need to travel to get here. If that is a problem you may find online counselling works better for you.

My counselling practice is at my home close to Harringay Green Lanes station in North London (N4). It is near to Finsbury Park, Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Tottenham, Stoke Newington, Manor House, Wood Green and Stroud Green and is in the borough of Haringey.

When

My practice is mostly available in the daytime and I have a few evening sessions available. Please contact me to find out what my availability is.

Where

I’m just off Harringay Green Lanes in Haringey London N4.

The exact address will be given when an initial appointment is made. The map below is an approximate location.

Getting Here

All walking times are for me, a reasonably fit older man. Adapt the timings accordingly!

Train: 10 mins from the mainline station at Harringay, 20 mins from Seven Sisters.

Tube: 15 mins walk from Manor House and 20 mins from Turnpike Lane, both on the Piccadilly Line.

Overground: 5 mins walk from the Overground (Suffragette Line) station at Harringay Green Lanes.

Bus: 10 mins from the 67 bus stop at Chestnuts Park, 5 mins from the 141, 341 and 29 bus routes on Green Lanes.

Car: I’m in a Controlled Parking Zone, so before 6:30pm you need to pay and display which is just round the corner. After 6:30pm you can park anywhere.

Bike: There are cycle hoops on Green Lanes and plenty of lampposts and street furniture to lock up to outside.

Accessibility

I’m sorry to say that this is a private house with no accessibility adaptations. There is a small step up to the front door so this is not really wheelchair accessible, but could probably be managed with assistance. It is fairly easy to access for people with some leg-based mobility. The therapy room is downstairs with no steps after the front door, but toilet facilities are up a single flight of stairs.
